Christmas Gingerbread cookies

Make the dough, shape, bake, decorate and you're good to go! In Ann Reardon's family, making gingerbread for Christmas is a tradition. Her recipe is easy: no electric mixer needed. The dough is flavoured with honey, syrup and spices, cut into shapes and baked, then the cookies are decorated with royal icing: first the outlines, then a runnier icing to flood the inside.
