La diphtongue /aʊ/
Une diphtongue est un glissement d'une voyelle vers une autre : ici, du /a/ ouvert vers le /ʊ/ de « book ».
Orthographes possibles : « ow » (flower, cow, brown, now, allow, town) et « ou » (count, round, loud, out, found). Attention aux paires minimales : shoot / shout, ton / town, a boot / about.
